The assembly commenced with a warm welcome from INCLIVA and Imperial College London, setting the stage for a series of insightful presentations and discussions.

The first sessions focused on Work Package 2, where FIBHUP presented optimised strategies for H. pylori management, a key factor in gastric cancer prevention. This was followed by updates on Work Package 3, where IPO-Porto and LU provided a comprehensive review of AI validation studies for endoscopy and pathology imaging, highlighting progress in detecting early gastric cancer indicators. The discussion shifted to Work Package 4, which examines AI applications in biomarker validation and molecular phenotyping. INCLIVA, CHU Nantes, LSMU, and i3S shared compelling insights into immune characterisation, molecular analysis, and microbiome profiling to refine early diagnostic tools. The day concluded with an interactive workshop on EU regulations and frameworks, led by Stratejai. This session provided crucial guidance on aligning AIDA’s research with European policies and fostering collaborations with other initiatives.

The second day opened with a deep dive into Work Package 5, where Imperial College London showcased advancements in AI analytics, personalised risk factor assessments, and mobile applications designed to improve patient outcomes. Discussions then moved to Work Package 6, with Stratejai presenting the latest developments in data governance, collaborative associations, and architecture, essential for ensuring ethical and effective AI integration in medical diagnostics. After a brief break, DiCE took the stage to outline the progress of Work Package 7, focusing on communication, dissemination, and educational initiatives. This session highlighted strategies to increase the impact of AIDA’s research through public engagement and knowledge sharing. The meeting concluded with updates on Work Package 1 (Project Management) and Work Package 8 (Ethics Requirements), presented by INCLIVA. The final session explored the future of AIDA, including the establishment of the AIDA Association and potential grant opportunities to support further research and innovation.
