Dr. Javier P. Gisbert

Dr. Javier P. Gisbert is the Principal Investigator of Hp-EuReg. He is the director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unit at the Hospital Universitario La Princesa in Madrid and a tenured professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He is also a member of the Board and Past President of the European Helicobacter and Microbiota Study Group. With more than 200 lectures, 1,000 published articles and more than 250 research projects behind him, the coordinator of the Hp-EuReg is an international reference in the field of stomach diseases.

Dr. Michael Doulberis (Switzerland)
Why and how to participate in the HpEuReg? 

Dr. Michael Doulberis has been the National Coordinator of the Swiss participation in Hp-EuReg since 2021. He is an attending physician at the Gastroklinik AG and Hirslanden Group in Horgen (Switzerland) and teaches at the Medical Faculty University of Zurich. He has published over 130 articles and is a peer-reviewed journal reviewer of a dozen publications with a high impact factor. He's an editor in three journals (Frontiers Gastroenterology, Annals of Gastroenterology, and Microorganisms).


Javier Tejedor (Spain)
HpEuReg, the Spanish experience and what is coming soon.

Dr. Javier Tejedor has been one of the top recruiters of the Hp-EuReg since 2021. He combines his role as the Registry's Regional Coordinator for the Principality of Asturias (Spain) with his clinical practice as a gastroenterologist at the University Hospital of Cabueñes (Spain).

Paulius Jonaitis (Lithuania)
What have we learned with the HpEuReg after 10 years?

Paulius Jonaitis has been working as a resident doctor at the Department of Gastroenterology of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences since 2020, finishing his preparation this year. He has been involved in the activities of Hp-EuReg for the last five years, mainly recruiting patients and carrying out data analysis. He debuted as a speaker of the Registry with an oral presentation in the EHMSG 2022. He is the lead author of two recent Hp-EuReg studies: "Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Helicobacter pylori Eradication Regimens in Lithuania During the Years 2013–2020: Data from the European Registry on Helicobacter pylori Management (Hp-EuReg)" and "Comparison of the Management of Helicobacter pylori Infection Between the Older and Younger European Populations."
